We are a long-established and friendly group of professional people, so we
need someone who will fit with both the group and the aircraft. The Cardinal
Group consists of 10 members and owns a Cessna 177B Cardinal, based at Durham
Tees Valley Airport, in the North East of England.
Mature and responsible (we may seek references)
At least 100 hours Pilot-in-Command on Group A SEP aircraft.
Would be willing to help with the running of the group.
Would fit with the group.
G-BDRO is 1975 Cessna 177B ‘Cardinal II’ (C177B): a four-seat tourer, with a
180hp Lycoming O-360, driving a two-blade constant-speed prop. In cruise it
will do 120kts IAS. It has an autopilot, an IFR-standard Garmin 430 avionics
and Garmin Mode S transponder.
The aircraft is kept in Hangar 3 at Durham Tees Valley Airport (EGNV), which
is a large commercial airport with hard runways, VOR/DME, fuel, and
an aircraft tugs. We have a resident instructor who deals with conversions and
renewals.
Availability is very good and booking is via a Web site, with email
notification of the bookings of others. You can take the aircraft away on
holiday etc. and there are no hard rules other than ‘be reasonable’.
All group members own a share in the aircraft.
All members pay a fixed monthly fee and an hourly wet fee based on tacho
time.
